Forest of Pendle Leisure Park is located within the village of Roughlee, accessible from Junction 13 of the M65. It’s a small owners park located within an area of natural beauty and was the deserved winner of the ‘Best Kept Park Award 2008.’

Pendle Hill is a distinctive landmark with a summit of 557 metres above sea level. It is an isolated hill, separated from the Pennines to the east, the Bowland Fells to the north west and the West Pennine Moors to the south. A short distance from the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the hill forms a stunning backdrop to the Forest of Pendle Leisure Park.

Barnoldswick (affectionately known as Barlick) boasts the second highest concentration of independent shops in the UK and is a holder of the prestigious ‘Best British High Street Award.’  The town is noted for its manufacturing traditions – Bancroft Mill on the Stream and Steam trail is now one of the finest mill museums in the country.  Beautifully located on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire, Barnoldswick has plenty of cycle routes and designated country walks – it even has a book named after it, full of its own local hill and canal walks.

Colne is a lively town noted for its vibrant music scene.  With three theatres and a Hippodrome, a wide selection of entertainment venues and the location for annual events such as the Pendle Beer Festival, The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival and the Colne Grand Prix Cycle Race, it’s no surprise that Colne has been dubbed ‘Lancashire’s capital of Cool,’ by Lancashire Life Magazine.  Quirky independent shops, rolling countryside views and a diverse selection of pubs and restaurants all add to the unique charm of this historic town.

Nelson is an ideal place for shopping, entertainment, countryside walks and sporting activities.  There’s two beautiful parks complete with tennis courts, bowling green, lake and bandstand.  Notice the 12m high weaving shuttle, the centrepiece of the town, created by local sculptor Philippe Handford in recognition of the once bustling  industrial economy of the town.

As can be seen, Pendle and the surrounding towns offer a wealth of cultural experiences interspersed with beautiful countryside walks and scenic views.
